Very confused about wiring 6 pin LED strip to 6 wire Gledopto GL-C-008 controller

First time using LED lighting. Bought a Gledopto controller as everyone here says it’s the best, but I’m having nothing but confusion. It’s a Gledopto GL-C-008 controller, has six wire connections.

The Gledopto controller has:

W C B G R V+

The BTF RGBVVT LED strip has:

12V W1 G R B W2

So I’m confused about which wires go into which holes in the Gledopto. I’m assuming:

V+ → 12V

B → B

G → G

R → R

But then I’m stumped on the W and C on the Gledopto, and the W1 and W2 on the LED strip.

Also very strange wire connections on the Gledopto. Not sure if I push, or if that slot is for a slotted screwdriver to turn.

I’d appreciate some help.

Without searching the controller I’m going to assume that W is the white channel on the LED strip and C is the ‘common’ or 0V. Got photos?

How about the LED strip?

Totally unrelated to your question. However, as one LED noob’s lesson… make sure as you are messing around you do NOT keep your LED string in it’s roll while you have it powered on. I keep this LED roll in the workshop as a reminder of what the fire department would have found… Good hunting!

OK, so you need to hook it up as follows:

Controller LED Strip
V+ 12V
R R
G G
B B
C W1
W W2

Then you may need to swap the W1 and W2 connections to the LED strip as I don’t know which one is the warm white and which is the cold white without digging into it too far.

Got it. Thanks.

It is really simple.
You have an RGB+Warmwhite+Coldwhite strip, it means 5 different LEDs on your strip, wired separately. V+ or 12V is the common grund for all LEDs. The rest is for power supply for each. One “w” is for warm white (2200-2700 K) and the other ist for the cold white (6500 K) one. You cannot do any wrong if you mes them up (expect V+), you will just get weird colors
