Vibration sensor movement only shows "null" and " ". How to make automations from this?

An empty value when movement is detected and null when no movement is detected. In automations, i can only select “random status”, “unavailable” and finally “unknown”.
I already tried unknown, thought it would be the empty value that z2m reports, but unfortunately it does not work.
Help would be appriciated getting this working :slight_smile:

This does not sound like it is set up correctly. Which device are you using?

It is the aqara vibration sensor.

Yeah that does not seem to be paired correctly. You should have all these exposed sensors: Xiaomi DJT11LM control via MQTT | Zigbee2MQTT

i solved it by switching to yaml mode and selecting “” as trigger.
