I am quite new to homeassistant; I’ve done a few simple automations based on importing many of my smart devices. I’ve got quite an extensive Lutron RA2 Select installation and I’d like to look in the logbook history for when switches are activated and the lights go on and off to understand more about its use within our house.
I can’t find how to view wildcards in the logbook or history (eg switch.* or light.*) - I assume this is possible but can someone advise what the correct way to filter by multiple devices?
I am now thinking (from searching) that this may be impossible? Can anyone help?
You cannot filter logbook using wildcards, only single entities.
Is there a way to achieve what I want? To see all events relating to a specific device type (my lutron system) ?
Every device page shows a logbook.
I have 96 lutron casetta devices; I can see the log book for a single device but not all of the lutron interactions - that’s what I’m trying to achieve (this would show button presses of the picos and the lights coming on and off)
The only place to view all logbook entries like that is the logbook page which does not support filtering to a list of devices or integration.
Seems an odd gap, I wonder if I can interogate the underlying database
