Vimar - 14592.0 - Small switch with Zigbee and Bluetooth technology

Thanks! Ok so with the bridge i can do that using an HA plugin, right? I was looking to this only for the LED, i do not need the switch automation at all, so being zigbee not an option i think i might end up using the 3046 buttons and then use an ESP home device to control 4 5mm leds i can easily insert into that. Anyway, thanks

No, you can’t change the LEDs color from Home Assistant, only with Vimar apps.

Hi all
I’ve got the same smart switch.

I’ve called Vimar and they told me, multiple times, that all features are supported even with the bluetooth firmware, even the led color change. If not, it’s an issue related with the HUB that doesn’t supprot that

Any chance to debug if this is true (i dubt) or false ?

In bluetooth it has all the features they tell you. In Zigbee, however, no. I live 40km from the Vimar headquarters. A friend of mine works there. zigbee are simple switch, they don’t interact with leds

Don’t you know (or can you ask to them) if they plan to add full zigbee support ?

I can ask, but I don’t think so😔

Hi all,
If I have a switch already properly connected to the zigbee network and it disconnects, how can I put it back into pairing mode?
So far I have always done the Zigbee->Bluetooth->Zigbee transition but it seems strange to me that there is no way to do it directly from the button.
Because if I press and hold the button for 8 seconds, the blue LED comes on and not the white one.
Thank you

Hi, the method you use would already be a trick not mentioned in the Vimar instructions, and the technicians advised me against using this system. The solution indicated by Vimar is “turn off the power, and when you turn it back on, hold down the button for 30 seconds”.
The constant disconnections were a problem that convinced me to switch to bluetooth with their bridge connected unfortunately

I have installed 12 14592 IoT switch, 4 roller shutter actuators and 1 socket actuator, so I can make statistics to understand what goes and what doesn’t go.
Most of them are connected in a 503 box by themselves, with no other actuators.
Only 3 are together in the same 503 box, and 2 of them are the ones that are giving me problems.
So at the moment I can assume that the problem is due to:

  • overheating
  • interference

I will do more tests to figure out how to solve the problem, because I plan to install 3 more nearby in another box soon.

Hi. I have the same issue; I notice disconnections and commands sent from HA not being activated. I currently have about 15 Vimar View devices connected via Zigbee to the Sonoff Dongle-P coordinator. I tried changing Zigbee channels, but the result remains the same. Would you recommend switching to Bluetooth by purchasing the gateway?

yes, unfortunately yes. Having had these problems already when I used Smartthings and having had the same ones, even when I switched to Home Assistant. I decided to switch them to BT and connect via Home Kit. I would be the first to be happy to be able to go back to zigbee, but unfortunately, I don’t think it’s the solution to the problem, so I’m staying like this and I advise you to do the same.

I’m trying right now to transfer everything via Bluetooth with the gateway and HomeKit integration. Unlike Zigbee, the roller shutters don’t expose the stop function, only up and down. Have you also noticed this issue?

I have only light sorry.

Hey there! I’m curious, how did you manage to connect the Vimar gateway to Home Assistant? Mine is currently linked to HomeKit and shows up on the Apple Home app as a bridge. Should I remove the bridge to make it visible to Home Assistant?

Hello,
The solution is homekit device, HomeKit Device - Home Assistant, for me it works with relays 03981 and 14592.
