Hello!
I made my “dumb” Husqvarna Automower from 2011 smart using the “Robonect” Add-On Kit (a Custom PCB that supports WiFi). I have set up the Robonect Integration in Home Assistant and it all works fine.
Now I would like to be able to control the lawn mower and check its status via HomeKit. There’s no native lawn mower device in HomeKit, but someone made a Homebridge plugin that simulates a Fan to show the “mowing” status and start/stop the lawn mower.
Now I dont want to mess around with HomeBridge in Home Assistant (Don’t really know if that’s even possible), but I’d rather create my own “Virtual Fan” in Home Assistant and expose this thorugh the HomeKit Bridge integration.
I hard of tempalte sensors, as a way to create a virtual device, but I’m not sure how I would go on to create a “Fan” device.
