Just wondering if anyone has integrated Virtualbox, or any other virtualisation platform, with their HA setup?
There’s already a way to shut down Windows machines via RPC, but I wouldn’t mind being able to spin up my Windows VM on demand with a single button press, or automatically when I arrive home, or sleep other VM’s at night when they’re not likely to be needed.
I could script something to fire off a command to boot a specific VM in headless mode or gracefully shut-down linux hosts I suppose, but I’m sure there’s a lot more info available through the Virtualbox API that could be useful.
