VirtualBox Hassio installation - Failed to open disk image

Hi,

Hoping some one here can help I’m trying to install Home Assistant inside a virtual box but struggling with error “Failed to open disk image” Ive checked all my settings in bios… I’ve search and searched and haven’t as yet found a solution ? I think my CPU is comparable see screen shot

Ive tried using virtual box on my mac as an experiment and the hassio image loads in with no faults, unfortunately running off a mac book is not practical long term.

Additionally any recommendations if this is the best way for me…??? Currently i’m running Home Assistant on a Raspberry Pi 4 @ 4gb ram. With an ever expanding system including over 150 MQTT entities, security cameras, bluetooth sensors and plenty of automations i think the extra power could help, I have a PC with 32gb ram and an i5 8th gen processor running windows 10 that is always on running blue iris it seems ideal to ditch the Pi and run from a pc that’s on anyway, reliability is essentially we have plenty of power cuts where i live so being able to auto boot on a power down/up is essential

Many thanks in advance.

I noticed that the file for the VDMK and the VDI are both downloaded as .XZ files(for sizing purposes), I extracted them using 7zip and the problem was fixed.
