VirtualHere Client Addon

Just sharing an addon for VirtualHere Client (usbip solution). This can use multiple devices, possibility for manual config and uses supported container.
I have only tested this on amd64 and all feedback is appreciated.

Open your Home Assistant instance and show the add add-on repository dialog with a specific repository URL pre-filled.

Hi, this plugin is great, however can you share some info on how to configure ?

Gladly!
There is a DOCS.md that was supposed to be in the addon directory, but is now:

You will need a VirtualHere Server running in your network, get it here under USB Servers:

I hope this gives some info, or just keep asking

I just install this on my Home Assistant installed as a Hyper VM. I had to configure the manual hub address to be my Windows 11 host IP address and then it worked. Super easy to install. Thanks!

Thanks for this addon, easy to install and use !

New version 0.3.1
Might need to restart the addon a couple of times to get all config to sync … :stuck_out_tongue:

New discussion on a possible way to get some status sensor in Home Assistant.

Virtual Server runs on a PI3. I can’t buy a license, always says invalid serial. How do I do that…I want to connect more al a device?

Thank you

I think that would be something for the VirtualHere developer/support, this addon only runs it.

Any changelog for the Update ?

Not more than what is included.

Hi having difficulty with this add-on. I am running HA as a hyper-vm. The VirtualHere server is running on the host PC and shows the connected USB devices. I have manually configured the client to use the host IP and port 7575. Autofind is turned on but no USB devices are listed as found. There is an option to add devices manually how would I specify the device to be added? Any help will be much appreciated

Sorted! The problem was due to an obscure setting needing to be changed in the network adapter… Now working with zigbee pass through on hyper-v home assistant installation :slightly_smiling_face:

Good you found the solution!
