Visual Studio Code - can't start the addon - help with debug

Same problem here since yesterday. Seems to be a widespread problem.

What is the most helpful way to report such a problem?

Thanks in advance to anyone working to resolve the problem.

For now it looks like disabling Watchdog has been helpful to most people experiencing this issue.

This seems to have solved the issue for me as well. Still, itā€™s a bit strangeā€¦

I have exactly the same issue, and rebooting, reinstalling VSC, starting/stopping watchdog, etc made not difference whatsoever!

Further ā€˜dabblingā€™ showed
(a) I was using chrome browser on windows 10. VSC Version 115.0.5790.171 (Official Build) (64-bit) ā€“ VSC is NOT WORKING
(b) IOS HA App VSC worked if a little slow, and screen not ideal ;-((
(c) Running BING on the same PC VSC works fine

Arghhhh, in this day and age, i ask you !!

I had the same issue after migrating from a virtual machine to a RaspberryPi and a SSD. After troubleshooting I find out that I had and IP reservation in my router to assign the IP of home assistant to the MAC address of the virtual machine.

In my case the add-on for MariaDB was not starting either. Iā€™m not sure if the IP reservation was causing an issue but it after removing the IP reservation, and restarting the RaspberryPi, everything started working just fine.
