VM recommendations for HAOS on Apple Silicon Mac?

I’m considering moving my HAOS installation from my Synology to an Apple Silicon Mac. Which VM do you recommend?

VirtualBox?
VMWare Fusion?
UTM?
Something else?

I don’t think that any of them will run an x86 VM.

If you read their fine print, they claim to run Windows VMs but only the ARM version and not the x86 version…

Thanks… There is a Generic aarch64 build for HAOS. Wouldn’t that work on a VM on Apple Silicon?

Just did this tonight on a Mac mini m2. Super easy. Go grab VMware fusion. It’s free.

@ravedog How is your VM working? I gave VMware Fusion a try. You were right - It was very easy! But I get this when I try to suspend the VM. Is this happening to you as well?
