Following up on the great discussion here-
I thought that was a great idea for an old iPod touch stuck on iOS 6.1.6 and an iPad stuck on iOS 9.3.5 that I have laying around.
Some commenters casually mention “using VNC”. I spun up the VNC server container no problem but then hit the wall of actually finding a VNC client that is compatible with these old iOS versions. Which client are you using and where did you get it? On the 6.1.6 device the App Store doesn’t even load, and on the 9.3.5 device the Real VNC app is not compatible with my iOS version. Did y’all already have the old version loaded when this use-case arose?
It’d be great to find a new use for these old devices rather than getting rid of them. Its impressive that the iPod touch 4th gen from 14 years ago has a 326 dpi screen that still looks great today.
Thanks
