Is it the overall size of the incoming network buffer, the audio output buffer size, or the inability of the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 processor to process the audio output? My assistants typically have from -35 dBm to -45 dBm wireless signal strength, which should be adequate. They all have the ESP32-S3-DevKitC-1-N16R8 processor coupled with 8 MB of PSRAM having an 8-bit connection.
Very late reply, but I’ve just started having something similar, where one of my ESP32 satellites gives stuttering responses (but not always, just sometimes).
Did you figure out what was causing it for you?
It was resolved when they switched the backend network protocol within HA and ESPome a few releases back. If you have not updated the ESPhome firmware in your voice assistants, definitely do a “clean” and then “install”.
