Voice Preview Edition can't connect to wifi

Hey everyone,

Not sure if that’s the best place to ask…

Just received my Voice Preview Edition, tried to set it up via my android phone.
The device is seen, I can start the set up process but it fails at the wifi connection step.

My main wifi is 5ghz. The SSID only contains capital letters and a dash.
The password is a 4 word passphrase separated by dashes (35 characters).

Is there anything I can do to debug it?

I’m pretty sure the device can only connect to 2.4MHz, like all ESP’s

Indeed, that worked!

I had tried before with my 2.4Ghz too but it didn’t.

This time I switched my phone’s connection to 2.4Ghz first and it worked. Not sure if related, maybe it means that both devices need to be on the same wifi connection (and not just the same router), or that I made a mistake the first time :person_shrugging:
