Voice preview with 24V wall mount adapter

Hi,
I guess lots of users would like to flush mount the new voice preview hardware into a standard electric wall “hole”, to do so ideally the hardware should accept 24V to avoid having an ACDC converter in the wall and only use a DCDC converter.

I think I would be willing to pay for a voice preview mod that replaces the back cover with a wall mountable one and a DC bucket converter to use 24V input.

Thoughts?

Just for curiosity, you have 24V DC (or any DC) coming out of the wall?
Is it common wherever you live?

I have 220V however I guessed that having a 10W 220 adapter inside the case might not work. At 24v I could use the very same electrical wiring I have for 220v and bring 24v (all my wirings either go to a central panel or a derivation panel where I could host a 220 AC to 24DC converter.

Off course if there will be a 110/220 option like Sonoff NS panel offers well that would be awesome.

But why 24V?
Can’t you do the same for 5V, and have USB-A wall sockets?

A USB A wall socket will then need a USB cable which is going to be visible and if you place the voice hardware on top it will be very thick. At 24v you can do even 50 meters with 10W.

I’d like to see something like NS panel, you plug into the hole, connect 220v and it’s completely hidden
