Now that HA officially supports wake word detection, it would be fantastic if the companion app could be used for this purpose.
I already own several old android phones and tablets and would love to use them to replace my Google smart speakers. I’d have the added benefit of being able to use them as dashboards too.
I’d love to see this implemented. For now there’s a workaround with tasker and the hotword plugin so that you can wake assist when the plugin senses the word you chose
I also like to have this!
Then all my nspanel pro become voice sattelites!
And get rid of my cloud google environment.
This should be included in the android app surely?
