Wall mount odroid n2+

I want to wall mount my Odroid N2+. Before I try anything, anyone who’s done this? Is it possible to just mount the heatsink to the wall?

Hardkernel is selling a VESA mount bracket for the N2 (which I believe would fit the N2+ as well), so you just would find VESA mounting solution for your wall (or just use 3M Command Strips). Otherwise you would need to get creative. Maybe Sugru or brackets that you screw into the N2+ using the existing holes, but I haven’t seen a ready made solution for this. Which doesn’t mean there isn’t one.

Thanks, will try the vesa solution, there are some 3d printable designs available. Perhaps tweaking these a bit (adding 2 mounting holes in the back?) will work.

I created something myself but over the past few weeks better solutions appeared online. For those still looking - I like this one:

Hi @RT1080 I have these printed now but I’m struggling to source suitable screws to attach them to the homeassistant blue. Do you know which size screws I should use m2/m3 etc? Thanks.

Hi, i used M3 stand offs, so M3 screws should work.

Thank you @RT1080 RT1080

For those of us without a 3D printer, anyone know where we can buy these adapters?

I wanted something more universal and ended up designing universal mirrored feet last year. Just uploaded to Thingiverse:

How about this:
VESA 75/100 TV Wall Mount Bracket Flat
And add this:
Hex Black Carbon Steel Male Female Standoff

Not sure about the ideal length of the M3 spacers. There is no .pdf file available of the thing with all sizes.
There is are all kinds of CAD files available for download but that is not helpful to me. I would say 10 mm length will do by estimation.
Also not sure if the mentioned M3 holes are lined up correctly for VESA 75 mm, but will see and adapt when I get the Home Assistant Blue that I bought (still waiting for delivery).
Obviously you also need 4 short length M3 bolts and perhaps a few washers.

On the other hand, not sure if this might be ugly when the VESA mounting plate is bigger than the back of the heatsink.
The longer I think about it, the more I want to make something simple myself.

I ended up cutting some plexiglass, drilling holes in it, and using an M5 screw to mount it to the Odroid. Then I used industrial strength velcro to attach it to the back of my computer desk hutch (that’s up against a wall). So far so good. Thanks for the suggestion though. Would’ve used your suggested option had I not already mounted it this way.

What was the length that you used?
