Wall mount temperature, humidity, CO2 device

Hi All,

I’ve worked out that Tado is playing havoc with my underfloor heating and heat pump set up, and so have learnt a very expensive lesson and now looking to send my heat pump the temperature, via HA, using zigbee temp sensors.

The problem I’m faced with is that this will leave quite a few holes in the wall where the tado thermostats currently lived. Of course, I could just blank these off but like say, they’re all over the place and it wouldn’t look ideal.

I purchased a NSPanel Pro to test but found it’s basically a fancy scene selector or display and the onboard temp sensor isn’t even that good. They’re also quite expensive.

As I have power to the thermostat housing, I was wondering if there is any kind of display that includes built in temp / humidity and CO2, ideally zigbee and ideally powered by 240V (UK)

Would love to know your thoughts.
Also, HMU if anyone is in need of any Tado Wired thermostats, in the UK.

Cheers

The Airthings Wave+ isn’t Zigbee, but it’s Bluetooth and has integration into HA with temp, humidity, CO2, VOC and Radon reporting. I don’t know if the size of the device is enough to cover your current holes or not, but might be worth a look. They are a bit pricey though.

Thanks, probably needs to be a bit bigger and also fit a UK switch mounting…

Starting to think this might be the way forward: Gyproc Plasterboard Patch Assortment | Toolstation

It’s pretty big for what it is. 12cm diameter would easily cover a lot of single gang switches. You could also consider building an ESP device with a screen to make your own sensor.
