Anybody ever heard of a wall tablet triggering a PIR sensor? I THINK mine is doing this in a black kitchen at night when the wall tablet suddenly decides to turn on. Not sure.
What tablet and PIR is it? I wouldn’t have thought a tablet would do that, unless it had some IR camera on there and was very close to the PIR.
Have you tried turning it off for testing to see if it keeps happening? That would be the route I would go down first.
In order to test it without the tablet automagically turning on, you can use fully kiosk browser if your tablet is Android. Wait for the night and put the screen to full brightness using fully API. If your PIR sees something, then… mystery solved.
You can do this with the free version of fully.

PIR sensors see heat, the backlighting of a tablet will create heat.
I saw a project lately that showed off esp8266 bluetooth keyboard emulation.
I just put an iPad on my fridge with HA up on it.
I’d love to unlock it with the keyboard if motion is detected as well.
