thanks,
but no, not multiple charging sessions, just one that is using surplus energy only and then can start in the noon and can continue the next day.
In those cases you will get my behaviour and issue.
I want to have a sensor for weekly / monthly / yearly consumption and not just a graph only. I need the 4 figures of today, week, month and year in a nice table
and then I use a graph for weekly consumption too.
Where and how are you able to get those data into a sensor ?
I have built these 4 sensors from another counter / wallbox
How did you get these figures from a “session counter” which counts a session over 2 days ?
For Example a sunday 12 am to monday 10 am surplus charging session delivers maybe a figure of 8 kWh for sunday and the counter inceases further on monday to 12 for the whole session, but the charger has only charged 8 kWh last week and 4 kWh this week.
I think you miss the point various people already made, you can simply add the add energy sensor to the home assistant energy dashboard. This will generate long term statistics automatically
Ok,
i have checked and it is right that my wollabox_added_energy has the state class total increasing.
And you mean that I need to add the sensor to the energy dashboard to get proper daily stats out of this sensor ?
I had tried to use a helper to generate a daily , weekly, monthly and yearly counter which did not work at all due to the missing reset. I got a terrible overreporting from all sessions that ran longer than midnight.
Will that also add / create another sensor or only add missing stats ?
I guess my wallbox app and browser are right.
And the issue exists for a usual use case and I need a sensor for these figures cause the users have a limited sight and can not deal with tiny charts or fonts.
Maybe your results are right or you are not using the charger for surplus charging longer than midnight, but the basic need is a simpler proper energy counter and then I can build my daily, weekly, monthly helpers (counters) on my own.
When did you add it to the energy dashboard? It will not retroactively load your data. That’s not how it works.
If today then I suggest to wait a bit. Otherwise, i don’t know. As with others, in my case it works well.
you can always try to interact on GitHub and make a contribution to the API - or you can root your wallbox which creates many more options to obtain the data you are after.
As for the lagging firmware, I would not count on wallbox employees reading this forum.
Did you connect through the phone app over Bluetooth? If so and no luck then best to contact Wallbox directly, my experience is they are quite ok in responding.
As I had said before: i want and need a way to get the data out of a sensor into a usual entity card for day, week, month adn year cause the owners of that house are 80+ with limited sight and they need bigger figures on the main screen to read a SOC like that from the home battery. Therefore they got everything in entity cards.
I had added that on saturday or sunday and the examples are from this week monday and tuesday, so everything should be right.
The only figures that were matching are those in the long time for example september but I bet that was only matching due to the fact that there was no charging session which had started in August and none that had started in September and ended in october.
I had not any Bluetooth or WLAN issues with the Pulsar Plus.
I had like so many others OCPP issues cause the implementation they had done was not compliant at least for those shipped before and in 2023.
Those issues came up when evcc had implemented an ocpp service and we tried to use those with Pulsar Plus Wallboxes. That caused errors and evcc - who are supporting some hundreds of walboxes figured out that wallbox implementation is not working compliant to the occp standard 1.6j or so.
I am wondering who is the maintainer of that cause it I open the integration and check the documentation I end up on the github core.
Regarding firmware we had complained a lot as evcc users once we got behind that the “newer” Pulsar Plus 2024 or so had gotten a firmware update to 6.x something where those had no ocpp issues. But they did not deliver even though it was a feature advertised years ago when we ordered our Wallbox.
but it did cause I have checked the month of september and that whole month is matching the values from the myWallbox web and the Wallbox app, but there was no charging session crossing the beginning or ending of the month which means:
on september 1st the car was not connected
on midnight september 30th the car was also not connected
BTW: if you see a second wallbox pulsar plus in those screenshots than those figures are coming from the “evcc sensors” get their data from the wallbox cloud with its own mywallbox issues unfortunatelly.
The biggest and reason why I started posting here is the jump of 600 kWh in 1 night on october 5th hence I went back to the genuine HA wallbox with the hope to find a simple energy counter and not a session energy counter.
But my goal is to get a proper sensor for an entity card for the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly consumption embedded on their main screen.
Those are elderly and so far I could find workarounds and solutions for all their special requests - mainly font size and amount of data or headline titles.
As said, call wallbox. Mine (pulsar plus) is from March 2022 and am on v.6.4 - no complaints. If the producer does not deliver best to complain there and not here. A bit too passive aggressive for my taste.
I got mine in February or March 2023 and they said no Update for 6.x available they are working on that for our devices to get the OCPP integration fixed.
Do you know who is providing this Wallbox Integration piece ?
Thanks
The HASS integration is not supported by the manufacturer Wallbox.
It’s maintenained by hesselonline (Hessel) · GitHub
This is written on the integration page Wallbox - Home Assistant
If you want a classic counter just install a Shelly meter with CT.
I have a “classic counter” cause the values are there in the wallbox and on mywallbox page which matched those of our offline SDM72 (no modbus) counter quite good (0,6% deviation) which we had checked every month or so.
I am just asking for a simple sensor to build those daily weekly monthly meters needed.
No,
that is a myth cause I would have an update in my wallbox available but I have not . Therefore I had opened a case 2 months ago cause we had found 2 owners of the 2024 edition who had gotten the 6.x firmware which did not suffer from the OCPP bug we are suffering.
As you can see here “No update available” and also the open case i had opened is still open regarding Pulsar Plus firmware 6.x .
My Pulsar Plus is very old now, made in 2020 and yet I’ve been running firmware v6.1.19 for almost a year. It’s the latest version available for my charger and I have no plans to update again. Everything is working very nicely with the MQTT integration and I have local control over my LAN which is very fast and gives me complete independence from Wallbox, no matter what happens with their cloud services.
@typxxi - It’s weird to see that you are still stuck on v5.x so I hope you can get some help from Wallbox.
It all depends - if yours is 6.1. then it might be a different one than what we should get cause that was 6.6 or 6.5 figure.
Cloud has not disturbed us so far and we have a running surplus charging system without an additional carlos gavazi meter cause we are using evcc for surplus charging of the car and home storage.
Pulsar Plus is connecting to the evcc (it is an home assistant addon).
Not sure if the rooted version does support OCPP and the proper way cause the current firmware 5.x from Wallbox has issues and is not ocpp compliant.
I would be happy to get that 6.x with a proper OCPP implementation and not the crappy WALLBOX style - right now evcc has adapted their software to deal with the Pulsar Plus wallboxes in its different stages.
It all depends cause if you wanna use surplus charging and other features based on the solar surplus energy or the home storage battery or the dynamic tariffs then you would need to get a carlos gavazzi meter
or
use EVCC for charging.
And EVCC is relying on the OCPP standard which Wallbox claimed to be compliant with when I bought that (OCPP 1.6 j I guess) but they did not.
Therefore I am waiting for the firmware fix.
I can root anytime if I am sure that the rooted version will be better, but I will need full ocpp support . And it is a lot easier to get support from evcc if you have a genuine Pulsar Plus and not a rooted one.
thanks
