There is a cumulative added energy sensor in the HA integration for my Wallbox and I use it in the energy board, this way I can see the added energy over time, works perfect.
Same here. I use âadded energyâ in the energy dashboard and I have the cumulative energy per day per week per month like any other devices. It matches the digits in the Wallbox app.
How can you count that if the value is reseted not by midnight, but by charging session ?
âAdded energyâ is resetted here only if I unplug the car.
How can you count that?
Here is the graph again which clearly shows that the reset does not happen every midnight and that a reset can take days till the next reset will happen if the car is not used and in surplus charging mode.
What did I get wrong or did miss ?
Here are the last 10 days of âadditional energyâ sensor and that has nothing to do with a daily, weekly, monthly consumption.
I see constant changes without a time pattern and for the resets happen only if I disconnect the plug. But I do not wanna have to unplug every day just to get the basic data.
I simply wanna get the wallbox energymeter or counter like other manufacturer do.
There is no chance for a logic I can use.
Midnight 14./15th of october shows a 8 kWh figure.
But that increases further during 15. to 16.th of october to 16.
I can only count the values before the reset.
It add every added energy. Below my data from july
The added energy counter
The energy dashboard count
The enery dashboard cumultive month
The wallbox app count
For my info; do you have a 3-phase or single phase?
I just added the wallbox energy import to the Energy dashboard.
For this morning it looks ok. You see the wallbox consumption as reported by the wallbox and the âautoladerâ which is an energymeter in front of the wallbox. Both are close enough to each other.
But this was for a single session; i should check once if we habe multiple charge sessions.
Are you able to check from the extended API if you see the âecosmartâ information?
For the API see: GitHub - SKB-CGN/wallbox: This describes, how to interact with Wallbox.com API for Wallboxes like PulsarPlus

Iâm not talking about the added energy sensor, but the cumulative added energy sensor.
âadded energyâ is the one that resets every charge.
âcumulative added energyâ adds up and never resets.
I have both provided from my Copper SB.
Mine also reports the added energy per session but HA energy dashboard can deal with that. No problem. It accumulates the sessions.
The local integration reports the cumulative one.
thanks,
but no, not multiple charging sessions, just one that is using surplus energy only and then can start in the noon and can continue the next day.
In those cases you will get my behaviour and issue.
I want to have a sensor for weekly / monthly / yearly consumption and not just a graph only. I need the 4 figures of today, week, month and year in a nice table
and then I use a graph for weekly consumption too.
That cumulative sensor you have on your Copper SB is missing here for the Pulsar Plus. I do not have that sensor and therefore I am asking.
Where and how are you able to get those data into a sensor ?
I have built these 4 sensors from another counter / wallbox
How did you get these figures from a âsession counterâ which counts a session over 2 days ?
For Example a sunday 12 am to monday 10 am surplus charging session delivers maybe a figure of 8 kWh for sunday and the counter inceases further on monday to 12 for the whole session, but the charger has only charged 8 kWh last week and 4 kWh this week.
I think you miss the point various people already made, you can simply add the add energy sensor to the home assistant energy dashboard. This will generate long term statistics automatically
The sensor has a state class "total increasingâ
See screenshots below:
Ok,
i have checked and it is right that my wollabox_added_energy has the state class total increasing.
And you mean that I need to add the sensor to the energy dashboard to get proper daily stats out of this sensor ?
I had tried to use a helper to generate a daily , weekly, monthly and yearly counter which did not work at all due to the missing reset. I got a terrible overreporting from all sessions that ran longer than midnight.
Will that also add / create another sensor or only add missing stats ?
I did it and as said before:
the results are wrong, cause 21. of october mywallbox reports 0,126 kWh
The Dashboard using the additional energy is way off cause it is reporting 4,69 kWh
0,126 kWh versus 4,69 kWh is a big deviation of 4,5 kWh
Here the data from the 20. from mywallbox 11,9 kWh
and the same sensor from the dashboard 7,37 kWh
another deviation but this time in the opposite direction: 4,5 kWh
Finally this week 5,4 kWh
versus Dashboard 10 kWh
this time -4,6 kWh deviation
I guess my wallbox app and browser are right.
And the issue exists for a usual use case and I need a sensor for these figures cause the users have a limited sight and can not deal with tiny charts or fonts.
Maybe your results are right or you are not using the charger for surplus charging longer than midnight, but the basic need is a simpler proper energy counter and then I can build my daily, weekly, monthly helpers (counters) on my own.
When did you add it to the energy dashboard? It will not retroactively load your data. Thatâs not how it works.
If today then I suggest to wait a bit. Otherwise, i donât know. As with others, in my case it works well.
you can always try to interact on GitHub and make a contribution to the API - or you can root your wallbox which creates many more options to obtain the data you are after.
As for the lagging firmware, I would not count on wallbox employees reading this forum.
Did you connect through the phone app over Bluetooth? If so and no luck then best to contact Wallbox directly, my experience is they are quite ok in responding.
Good luck!
I donât remember how to use this. Iâll try. I remember having used the other API manually a long time ago.
As I had said before: i want and need a way to get the data out of a sensor into a usual entity card for day, week, month adn year cause the owners of that house are 80+ with limited sight and they need bigger figures on the main screen to read a SOC like that from the home battery. Therefore they got everything in entity cards.
I had added that on saturday or sunday and the examples are from this week monday and tuesday, so everything should be right.
The only figures that were matching are those in the long time for example september but I bet that was only matching due to the fact that there was no charging session which had started in August and none that had started in September and ended in october.
I had not any Bluetooth or WLAN issues with the Pulsar Plus.
I had like so many others OCPP issues cause the implementation they had done was not compliant at least for those shipped before and in 2023.
Those issues came up when evcc had implemented an ocpp service and we tried to use those with Pulsar Plus Wallboxes. That caused errors and evcc - who are supporting some hundreds of walboxes figured out that wallbox implementation is not working compliant to the occp standard 1.6j or so.
I am wondering who is the maintainer of that cause it I open the integration and check the documentation I end up on the github core.
Regarding firmware we had complained a lot as evcc users once we got behind that the ânewerâ Pulsar Plus 2024 or so had gotten a firmware update to 6.x something where those had no ocpp issues. But they did not deliver even though it was a feature advertised years ago when we ordered our Wallbox.
