Wanting to move away from duckdns/ lets encrypt. I use google assistant. Are there any other options outside of nabu? Tutorial links would be very much appreciated

Hello all,

I am completely lost on the subject of how to move away from duckdns. I believe it may be the issue with my poor google home results. Google assistant often reports back that it can’t connect and I believe it is due to duckdns. Can you all give me some options on what I should do to get more reliable google home usage? Also, if you could link me to a tutorial. I am just lost when it comes to what other options I have. I would prefer it be a free option if possible.

You can use No-IP.com. It’s free if you re-confirm your dns server name every 30 days. I didn’t want that trouble so I paid for the Enhanced DNS, and installed their Windows program to automatically update my IP address since I have a dynamic IP with my ISP. It’s pretty easy to setup, but feel free to DM me if you need help!

Thank you for your response Colton. I am going to be looking into to this in the coming days. If I end up going this route, I may reach out. Thank you so much for your offer!
