Warn about incompatible integrations _before_ upgrading home assistant (z-wave js for example)

After upgrade of Home Assistant I sometimes the follow message

warning about incompatible z-wave js version.

The message is nice, clear, specific and gives me all information I need to know to fix the problem.

However it gives me the message after I have upgraded Home Assistant and the z-wave integration is broken until I can upgrade z-wave JS.

Feature request: Verify compatibility before upgrading Home Assistant. Warn the user about the specific issues when the user tries to upgrade Home Assistant using the built in upgrade feature in Settings → System → Updates

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I run z-wave JS in Docker on a separate machine.
The release notes for Home Assistant mentions the need to have a specific z-wave js contract version so it’s possible to detect manually before update. But I usually don’t have that version number on top of my mind and to be honest, who reads the release notes that carefully anyway.
Not sure if it makes a difference, I’m running the HA OS version 2024.7.1 on an Intel NUC.

There’s your error…
