Turns your city’s waste collection calendar into a dashboard card: four bins with “in 6 days”, a two-week mini calendar with coloured dots and “next up: paper · Thu 29.10.”. Built only with the core Markdown card – no HACS, no YAML files.
**How it works**
1. Add your waste calendar – most cities offer an ICS link; add it with the core **Remote Calendar** integration (or use Waste Collection Schedule).
2. Create a **Text helper** “Müll-Plan” (max length 255).
3. Import this blueprint, pick the calendar and the helper. It stores the next date per bin (paper, organic, recycling, residual) plus all pickups of the next 14 days in the helper – every 3 hours, after midnight and on start.
4. Add the card (Add card → Manual) – the code is in the guide linked below.
Bins are matched by keywords in the event title (configurable, defaults: Papier/Blau/PPK, Gelb/Wertstoff/Verpackung, Bio/Grün/Braun, Rest/Grau/Schwarz). Unknown events (e.g. bulky waste) are ignored.
**Prefer more colour?** There’s an advanced variant with button-card – the one we use at home – reading the same helper (no template sensor needed). Code for both cards and screenshots are in the guide.
**Tested** on a fresh Home Assistant (2026.10) with a local calendar: plan per bin, 14-day strip, keyword matching, card rendering in light and dark theme.
**Note:** The blueprint’s input labels and default bin keywords are German – change the keywords to whatever your calendar says, so it works with any language. The card in the guide comes with English labels; the guide lists every field with its meaning.
Pairs with my AWTRIX waste bin indicator (also here in Blueprints Exchange).
