Why so much of a clickbait headline, without at least 2-3 lines of a introduction/ description?
Agreed, pretty much a guarantee that I won’t watch this and a turnoff for the entire channel. Too bad, because there might be a valid point buried in there, but clickbait YouTube’s are today’s greasy door to door salesman

- New Automation Editor: The editor features a new, clean look and supports more natural state changes, such as “when a light turns on”.
- Protocol Dashboard: A new dedicated protocol dashboard has been added under the settings menu.
- New Integrations: The update includes new built-in integrations, specifically one for Home Link, which may allow for integration with the Rivian’s home link button.
- Navigation Improvements: The sidebar navigation has been cleaned up to make it easier to navigate.
- Energy Dashboard Update: The date picker in the Energy dashboard has been moved to the bottom of the screen to make it easier to select.
- ESP Home Enhancements: ESP Home now includes API action responses, transforming it into a true two-way protocol.
- Stability and Compatibility: Existing automations remained functional after the upgrade. A wide variety of integrations are confirmed to be still working, including Tesla, Rivian, Ring, Shelly, ESP Home, Nest, and MQTT, among many others.
- Upgrade Recommendation: The source suggests that it is safe to hit the update button, as the transition from version 2025.12.5 to 2026.1 was smooth and problem-free.
Upgrading your smart home system is like reorganizing a workshop; even though the tools have been moved to more convenient spots and new equipment has been added, all your current projects should still be exactly where you left them.
Dude! This is supposed to be a forum for support and discussions regarding all things Home Assistant, not promotion platform to get you clicks-&-$$.
Also I agree with the previous comments, terrible form.
Genuinly helpful because I now know how to add a user to my ignore list.
Am AI generated summary of the clickbait. Whats the world coming to?
+1, added in ban list and hopefully a moderator will kick him out ![]()
Tried to report and apparently the mods have already decided it shouldn’t be removed…lovely.
What was the feedback you received?
I think it’s an annoying and click-baity post that adds no value, but I don’t think it’s broken any forum rules.
So, nothing that reading the actual release notes would’ve told you?
Yes it’s a clickbait headline on the video, but chill people. He’s promoting the platform and at least the video was only a couple of minutes. I don’t think he’s making it rich off of this. He’s just an enthusiast like the rest of us and is sharing his enthusiasm on YouTube and also posted his video here to help get it some views. Give him some constructive criticism and tell him you dislike the clickbait but no need to go on attack mode.
