This morning my wife told me with a straight face that we need more automation in our home. It seems our son forgot the water faucet running and it ran all night.
So, are there any battery powered devices that can be attached to a faucet and signal HA when the water is on or off? I could then script an automation to sound an alarm if it’s on for too long.
Alternatively I could change the faucets with ones with timers - like in the airport, that are on for a short period of time.
Any ideas/suggestions?
