I’m planning for a new home build. I plan to put hydronic radiant heat in my garage and basement floor slab. I’d like for HA to control the whole thing, or at least monitor it. One part of the hydronic system is checking the temp of the water as it enters the floor and the temp of the water as it comes out. Most people are using analog gauges mounted on 3/4" copper or pex pipe. Does anyone know of a digital gauge that can be mounted on the pipe that would integrate with HA? I want something that is plumb in and actually touching the water flowing in the pipe, not something that reads the exterior pipe temperature.
Also, I plan to put a temp probe in the concrete slab (I’ll put the probe inside a piece of pex buried in the slab so I can remove it if needed). I’m looking at a probe like this. Does anyone know if I can simply hook that probe up to an ESP8266 device and read the temp? Or would it need some special configuration to read what the probe is sending?
