However, the state in HA doesn’t change, and nothing appears in home-assistant.log (I have verbose enabled), though I can see other events. These are the entities that show up in the GUI, and their state:
Thanks for the follow-up as it got me started down the right path.
I have an Everspring water sensor (as I suspect you do) and I’m having the exact same issue. I have open-zwave-control-panel compiled and running now but I can’t find anywhere to set the “report type to send”. Could you point me in the right direction. Also, how did you discover this setting? I’ve been through the booklet and all my logs and can’t find any mention of this. Thanks.
I actually have an aeotec water sensor. If you put the path to your zwave USB stick (e.g. /dev/zwave, /dev/ttyUSB0, etc) in the top, then click initialize, it should show all your zwave devices. After that you’ll be able to click on a device/node and find it’s configuration.
Hey @aceat64, do you recall setting the send type in ozcp? When I click on the node and then select configuration, it comes up blank with no options to set. The information tab says the send type is 0, but I’m scratching my head trying to figure out how to change it… any help would be appreciated. This is for the aeotec water sensor.
I’m having trouble with this Aeotec device - It’s paired properly with my Aeotec Z-stick, I see the device in OZWCP, but it always shows as “Sleeping” even when I wake it up (pushing the Wake Up button, LED is solid red). I’m unable to push the configuration to it.
I was having a problem with the saving the setting. Ended up pulling a batt, replacing it then immediately pressing the Zwave button, then Save. That did the trick.
I know that this is an old comment, but wanted to say thanks as this was exactly what problem I had as well. How did you know to change the report type to 17? I’m wondering if there’s documentation somewhere that would help with other automations.
