Hi all
So that’s very simple. I already control the temp in my snake’s tank/ However I’d like to also control the humidity by spraying some water when it’s not humid enough.
I couldn’t find anything to do that. Anyone hasa an idea or already did it another way ?
I use HA with Deconz and NodeRed, so preferably a Zigbee thing 
I don’t think this generally is a Zigbee topic. As I understand, your problem is the spraying action it self, isn’t it?
My initial idea:
-zigbee (or whatever technology) outlet
-aquarium pump
-some sort of water container
-nozzle of a spray bottle
-some tubes
If the humidity is to low, the outlet gets acitvated for some seconds, so the pump pumps water through the nozzle, which sprays it. I guess this needs some experimenting to get nozzle size and timing right. Also maybe a more powerful pump is needed.
Ah you’re right, it’s likely not Zigbee. So, Hardware instead ?
Re your initial thought, it looks like I have to McGyver the thing
I’d put it in “Share your Projects!”, despite it being ready for use. But I don’t really know, since I’m new here.
Another thing came to my mind: You could have a look at what the plant guys are doing. They have to have a solution for watering their plants. Modifying that to watering a snake should be possible.
Indeed, that’s probably the best thinkg to check.
