Waveshare RS232/485/422 ZU POE ETH (B) Modbus RTU

Hello,

My plan is to connect the Modbus RTU of my PV system to a home assistant.

Both are spatially separated, but with a LAN connection.

I have now acquired a Waveshare RS232/485/422 TO POE ETH (B).

I can see the box with VirCom. I can make settings. But that’s it.

No matter what I test, no matter what software I try to use to read the Modbus from Windows, I can’t even get a connection to the box.

The firewall is off. Instructions followed. Factory settings.

I’m getting desperate.

I just wanted to test the Waveshare box on my laptop and see what I can get via Modbus RTU.

does MODBUS on inverter and on your pc/adapter match?
does MODBUS is correctly enabled on the inverter?

I was so stupid and thought it was Modbus RTU. But it is Modbus TCP!
