I have a few Waze Travel sensors setup, most work ok, the one I’m have trouble with is my work location, it’s always wrong. As it stands I’m at work, current origin and destination are virtually on top of each other, yet it says I’m 3 mins away. The one I setup for my wife works as I’d expect and is accurate. Am I missing something?
I create a temp zone using the co-ordinates and over laid it so show my position, so it seems to be in the correct location, just seems distance and time are wrong.
The Origin and Destination you can see in the picture above are the ones Waze used to calculate the route.
How did you supply the origin and destination to waze? Using a device_tracker, zone,…?
It seems that origin or destination is detected a few meters apart. Given the traffic direction at that location it might be that this short trip takes indeed 3 minutes because of a drive through the roundabout where there might be a traffic jam for example.
I couldn’t resolve it, I had it code to hide when I was less than 0.2 from wrok, so changed the coding to us the zone sensor instead, so as soon as I enter the work zone it hides the remaining time as I’m already there. Like wise when I enter the home zone, distance to home hides.
