Wear OS app - how to connect away from home

I can only connect to HA on the Wear OS app if I’m on my home network.

I assume I should be able to connect when I either have a wifi connection on the watch or Bluetooth connection to my mobile (my watch isn’t LTE).

I can’t find any settings to change on either the watch, Samsung wear app or HA mobile app.

I’ve tried disabling Bluetooth on the watch to force a WiFi direct connection with no success.

Anyone have an insight as to why it won’t connect?

did you make sure to use your external URL when you logged in?

I didn’t realise I hadn’t. Uninstalled, reinstalled and logged in with my external address and it’s working!
