Wear OS Favorite Entities selections keep disappearing

I’m using the Android Companion app and Wear OS Settings / Favorite Entities.
When I set these on my phone, they appear as they’re supposed to on my watch (Samsung Galaxy Watch 5). Some time later, they start to disappear from my watch, often several at a time, but not all at once, inevitably they all disappear.
If I go back to the Companion app on my phone and re-select them, they’ll show up again until they start disappearing again some time later. This process my take a day or two to start, but always finishes within a few minutes.
Any ideas on why this is happening? It’s very inconvenient.

This should only happen when the HA server does not report the entities when we request the full list of entities. Its an attempt to clean up an entity you may no longer have. Strange that it removes them when your entities do indeed exist. Can you file a bug for this on github please?

you forgot to mention the fix is in 2023.3.0 notice how the issue is closed with a linked PR
