Wear OS heart rate sensor vs charging

New wear os app brought many new cool sensors, including heat rate. But when I connect the watch to its charger the app starts reading the heart rate, and never stops. That’s annoying before sleeping,
because the LED of the sensor is very bright.
Is there any way to avoid this?

what watch is this? first time im hearing of this behavior. The device is supposed to not report values when on the charger, thats what happens on my pixel watch.

It’s a (stone age) Ticwatch E.

that behavior should be something the device handles on its own. I am pretty sure the light will time out eventually but it does sound like a device bug. On my pixel watch it actually records a log statement saying its not sending a value because its on the charge or not worn.

I don’t think it will timeout. At least it didn’t in about 30 minutes. Thanks anyway.
