WearOS and thermostat controls

Is it possible to control a thermostat via the WearOS app? I’ve got a Galaxy Watch 4 and the thermostat entities don’t appear to show up on the watch. Is there some configuration I missed or are thermostats not available on the watch app?

A long time ago, Nest had an app for Android watches, and I used it all the time, but they stopped supporting it years ago… I got quite excited about the prospect of using Home Assistant to regain this lost functionality. Is anyone aware of a way to configure a thermostat to be available/controllable via the watch?

thermostats are not supported yet, feel free to submit a feature request on github

Don’t have a watch, but is say button entities available?
If yes then that works if you just want to do up/down temp.
If you want more advanced than that then it might get harder

Yeah, I thought about doing it this way, but it’s a bit annoying if I don’t know what it’s currently set to.

Why can’t that be displayed on the watch?

I mean, it could be done via a notification to give feedback each time it changed. It’s hard to explain without showing you the watch UI, but the WearOS UI looks nothing like the normal web UI for Home Assistant. Essentially you can only pull up one entity at a time (it doesn’t have cards, probably because the display space is limited). So I could open a text entity to check the temperature, then close it and open the button entity to adjust it and just press the button however many times I wanted to adjust it. I’ve also have to create multiple entities for up and down and hot and cold. I definitely CAN do it, but it seems like a major hassle to use. I just put in a feature request for an actual thermostat control and I may try to tackle it myself if it’s not already being worked on.

Ok i understand
