Is there a way to set up an action to call a webhook? I’m not trying to solve a particular problem (yet), but in playing around and googling like crazy I haven’t been able to find a straightforward way to do this.
A webhook of an external service (meaning something on the local network or the public internet, but not yet available in a Home Assistant integration)?
See the REST entities/actions. There are sensor, binary sensor, switch, command, and notification options. If you eventually have a particular service in mind, or more specific problem to solve, there are also some other tools that might be a better fit, depending entirely on the specific needs.
