About once every two days my CPU temperature climbs by 10 degrees (Censilble units) and starts varying a lot more. A restart interrupts this and drops the temperature.
The odd thing is that there is no correlation to CPU utilisation, network activity or room temperature. All these remain unchanged.
What the heck else could be causing this, GPU utilisation (CPU and GPU share the same heatsink)?
Is there a sensor for GPU utilisation (NUC image)?
What do you think is happening with that Add-on? I thought it is exercised only when programming a device and is otherwise idle. If it’s causing the CPU temperature to rise, without increasing CPU usage, what might it be doing during what should be it’s ‘spare time’? (Joke: Bitcoin mining?)
