Weird 'idle' entities for Zwave devices after upgrading to Home Assistant 2023.5

After I upgraded to Home Assistant 2023.5, my Z-Wave JS devices had a number of new entities added, all having the word ‘idle’ in them. E.g.,

button.zcombo_g_smoke_co_alarm_idle_sensor_status
button.zcombo_g_smoke_co_alarm_idle_alarm_status
button.zcombo_g_smoke_co_alarm_idle_sensor_status_2
button.zcombo_g_smoke_co_alarm_idle_maintenance_status
button.zcombo_g_smoke_co_alarm_idle_alarm_status_2
button.zcombo_g_smoke_co_alarm_idle_hardware_status

There are a lot of them, and it’s messing up my ‘unavailable items’ tracker.

Where did these things come from, and is it possible to make them go away?

They allow you to reset some sensors back to their “idle” value. If you don’t need them, just disable them.
