Weird situation: I need my scene to ONLY control temperature and NOT color

I have Globe Electric lights in my ceiling. It’s not the best setup, but it’s what I have to work with.

I set up a scene to control the lights, and even if I go to the temperature tab for each light, and have them all looking good, it will always default back to color once I run the scene. I would like the scene to ONLY affect temperature and NOT color. I’m sure this is probably a specific issue with my lights, but I am wondering if anyone knows how I might do this?

Thanks,
Josh

On a light Color Temperature changes the Color. That is one measurement for Color.

I am not aware of any lights with air temperature sensors.

When I set the lights using the Tempature setting in SmartThings, the lights respond correctly. (Smartthings allows setting Temp and NOT color.)

Who said anything about air temperature? He is talking about the two options HA gives you in the UI - to control a light’s colour temperature (temperature) and it’s colour via the colour wheel (color).

@sortino can you show us the yaml configuration for an example scene that does not work as you wish?

Since they want temperature controlled, but not color they cannot mean color temperature. Other than air & water, what other type of temperature would make any sense for a light?

@Prodigyplace

Colour temperature is measured in Kelvins - it is a valid temperature just not in the way you are thinking.

But the explicitly said hey did not want the colour changed. That includes the shade of white, by definition,

Just stop being a prat.
