Went a little nuts - how to clean up devices showing in HomeKit?

I added a bunch of devices in HA and then added HomeKit bridge so they show up in Apple Home on my wife’s and my Apple devices. Problem is I have a bunch of things in there that I really don’t care about and having a hard time getting rid of.

I’ve been reading through the documentation and it is just not clicking for me. Does someone have a simple way to remove some of these extra bits I don’t care about?

In the grand scheme of things, I just want my Venstar thermostat to show up.

Try Settings >> Devices & services >> HomeKit Bridge then click on “Configure” …select your preference in “Inclusion Mode” and Domains section (probably mode as exclude, and under domains to include, only select Climate), then click submit and follow the steps.

Thanks for that. If they are excluded, will they just drop out of HomeKit since the bridge is not advertising them any longer?

Correct (you may need to reload the integration, or restart HA - not sure).

How about if I add something new to HA, will that just show up in HomeKit? Or do I need to add another bridge?

Unless it’s “climate” device, it will not show up with the above settings. You will need to add them in the include by domain section or by device. But you can use same bridge - no need to add a new bridge.

Thank you for that info. Appreciate it!
