I am looking to set up an access control system in my office and I want to know what devices Home Assistant supports. I am specifically looking for devices that support facial recognition or fingerprint sensors.
Does anyone have any experience in this area?
HA will support anything with an api.
You may diy access control with nfc, rfid, facial, license plate or whatever you chose and a magnetic look or other controllable lock. HA supports all protocols and all methods.
Most other controls can be interfaced and require switched voltage as trigger, ethernet or other protocol as input and these are also usable.
I created gate control that accepts 2fa code (i forget real term for this). I plan to utilize QR or facial once i put camera in that location.
