Upon reading it the slimmelezer creates a service called set_dsmr_key. Try using that in the services tab inside developer options. It should look somewhat like this:
For future reference, once you have added ESPHome Service to Home Assistant, you have to go to Developers Tools and look in the Tab Services for the Service named “ESPHome: smart_meter_set_dsmr_key”.
Add your private_key below and click on Call Service.
How would you do that? The electricity meter has only 1 P1 port, right?
Anyway, I have just the slimmelezer connected to the P1 port and it works like a charm. Don’t have the Smarty+ because the slimmelezer covers all my needs.
Like many people in Luxembourg I live in an appartment and the Smarty is installed in a common room in the basement (level -1). I cannot use power sockets in the room as they are not mine. There is good 4G reception but no wifi of course.
Is there a way to use an ESP32 with 4G/LTE and access my data from the appartment? Is there another solution I didn’t think of?
