I’m trying to get a lenovo tablet become a HA dashboard.
I’ve been able to keep HA Companion up in certain schedule, problem is, when I add a firewall to the mix (wireguard) It seems to interfere and I can’t make HA Companion restart.
It happens once a day and once the firewall gets in foreground I can’t call HA anymore.
Is anyone using an alternative firewall for android in their dashboards?

Regarding your question may you elaborate more why you have a firewall in your LAN ?

Wireguard is a VPN.
If you enable wireguard on your tablet and make all the traffic go through it, that might interfere indeed, unless you know what you are doing

Wireguard is a VPN which acts as firewall. My problem is it pop ups from time to time to foreground.

No, wireguard has nothing to do with firewalling.

Sorry I was talking about netguard
The problem was an app from lenovo/os trying to disable background tasks to save battery called duraspeed. Even if you set do not intervene in some applications it closes the aplications, including netguard and ha companion. You need to manually enable/disable the entire service to disable it every about 48 hours.
Kills background services and foreground apps, so the HA gets killed in the process.
Its a mess
