I have noticed that in my Groups tab in ZHA there is Default Lightlink Group with the group id: 0x0000. In Devices section it only lists my Coordinator two times (according to this github issue thread this is only a display bug).
My question is what is Default Lightlink Group in ZHA Zigbee groups?
I tried to find the answer on web, but haven’t found anything that directly answers this question. I want to know this in order to safely delete this group or keep it in case it’s an essential component of ZHA.
Nope, my guess is it has to do something with Zigbee Light Link (ZLL), which is a standard for controlling lights with Zigbee (source). Probably it stores some code to control Zigbee lighting devices, so I left it as it is in my groups tab for now.
If anyone has better knowledge about this topic, a better explanation would still be appreciated
Uups, I had that group as well and I have deleted it…
since I assumed I would have created that group by accident on my own.
So, I did not notice any issue. All my other Zigbee Groups seem to work fine.
However, I noticed that some lights in one group turn ON sporadically and I do not why…
Did you / anyone find out what the initial group is for?
I have no groups added myself, but I also experience sometimes after adding a switch or light that a few days later the switch or light turns on when I use one of my Ikea remote buttons, even if this button has nothing to do with the corresponding device. Removing and repairing the Ikea remote fixes this issue, but seems very strange, especially as it seems to happen spontaneously.
I have that group as well. I added another group myself and that group was working fine until a few weeks ago. There are 3 identical switches connected to that group and I toggle the switch in an automation. This was all working fine until, all of a sudden the toggling went berserk. I now have to toggle the switch twice to get it in the off state. After toggling the switch to the off state, it goes to the on state again within half a second. If I toggle it again it stays in the off state.
My first thought was about the automation, but after some checking the automation works fine. Then I checked the switch as an Entity and there I saw the switch going to the on state after toggling if to the off state.
All the other ZigBee items seem to work fine, it only is this group created in ZHA that has a problem. So some more searching has to be done.
Did you ever figure this out? I experience similar behaviour with my ZHA zigbee groups, they are very unreliable. Sometimes they work fine, but sometimes they do not turn on or off and I have to try multiple times.
