When displaying the clock widget, is the source the device that AppDaemon is running on or the device the browser is running on?
It’s all run in the Browser from JavaScript
My next question, should there be a way of syncing date time from the AppDaemon device?
Like a remodeling idea, if the answer is yes, then adding a UI that when you click on the clock, you get a UI that you can set the date time.
I don’t see the value of being manually able to set the time in this age of NTP fractional second exactness If your clock is wrong, then it’s also wrong on the rest of your tablet.
Good point.
The best way would be to have the tablet set NTP from the HA Device (my case the Pi3).
What about setting the time? Handle it from the HASS front end?
iOS and I am sure Android have their own mechanisms to sync time, you shouldn’t have to worry about actually setting an NTP server up - do you have an actual problem with your time being wrong? I haven;t had to worry about time on devices for quite a few years.
