What is this card?

Trying to find out what card this is. It’s in the example video for editing a lovelace UI.
Thanks!

history-graph card?

Thank you. It is the sensor card.

On the demo the more info graph that pops up looks nothing like the smoothed line on the card. Hopefully this is just a quirk of the demo.

my history card does that as well

Have you opened an issue?

The history card has always been like that

I didn’t ever consider it to be an issue or anything other than completely normal.

I think you guys might be missing what I am saying.

Not the format of the history card pop up - the squiggles on the lines don’t match with the smoothed card squiggles at all, even allowing for the smoothing. What’s the point of having a graph that does not look anything like the data it is supposed to represent?

here’s one for you… all 3 showing the same thing:

Totally different time scales for the ‘data’ - <1 day whereas the other 2 (that match each other) are 7 days I think…

Top and bottom left in your picture is what I would expect. I reckon it’s just that the demo isn’t actually using real data, or as you say it could be different time scales.

Well in my case I KNOW I set 7 days in the left windows and you can see the time scale at the bottom of the non matching one - it’s less than a day so big difference.

If you are really worries about it, you can edit that card to see the entity ID and then go to states in dev tools and write down all the states for the period…

I’m sure it’s just filtering

I’m not worried as I doubt I’ll be using the sensor card. Not enough info for my liking.

A glances card for current values and a history graph card for trends (with actual scales) will do me fine.

I just thought it was odd that the data didn’t match in the demo.

It’s a bug. If you open the more info card more than once (in the demo only) it gets wackier

You could try to add this line to your sensor:

detail: 2

This should make the line more “detailed” on the sensor card. Unfortunately you can’t have it more detailed. You can however (if I remember it right) change the monitored hours of the graph line. I believe you can choose 12 or 24 hours.

There’s a combination of reasons for the difference between the graph in the view and the one in the more-info popup.

First of all, they have different timescale, and with the very heavy smoothing of the sensor graph, things get weird.

Second of all, the data in the demo is entirely randomized on every update. So when the more-info dialog is opened it gets a new set of data, unrelated to what the sensor card got.

You probably won’t see the same behavior in your own configuration.
