What room lights?

I’m replacing my room lights, and looking at these

My room light is this style fluoro right now. It has a zigbee smart module on the switch. If I were to get this, then I could dim w/o changing the module & switch. Otoh, will this be OK being turned on and off all the time, and will it turn on to the prev brightness/colors?

Is there a way to combine the smart module & this device in HA, to create a composite light device so I don’t have 2 names for it?

Any other considerations? Or should I get a non-smart light nad keep the smart module on the switch?

No it cannot handle being off…

Smart bulbs (or fixtures in this case) should always be powered.

Smart bulb OR switch not both unless your switch is specifically designed to have a ‘smart bulb mode’
