Three days ago I receive a notification that my Tuya authentication expired. I tried to scan the barcode with Smart Life and Tuya, but it says the QR code expired. Is Tuya mad that Shelly qualified for “Works with Home Assistant?” What is up with this?
The QR code expires in less then 5 minutes. Open your smartlife app, prepare to scan, then reload the integration to generate a new QR code, and scan immediately.
Can’t reload. Can only “Reconfigure.” Error “The QR code has expired. Refresh and scan it again” occurs 10 seconds between reconfigure and scan.

Do a search on the forum - this has been asked a lot. You will find the process for extending the timeframe on the Tuya website.
I searched “Tuya” in the forum, but didn’t find this. The documentation doesn’t mention this. Clicking Reload in the francisp screenshot gives an expired QR code. Clicking “Regenerate” in my screenshot after clicking Reload circled in the francisp screenshot gave me an unexpired QR code. Thanks everyone for the help.
“Tuya” is going to give you more hits than you can poke a stick at. But “Tuya expired” gets you there straight away.
