Thank you WallyR!
This is why i try to walk around before buy.
When i search for HA and LoRa usually i see lorawan solutions or like WM1302 LoRaWAN Gateway Module Pi Hat for Raspberry Pi 4B / 3B+/ 3B / 2B / A+ / B+ / Zero / Zero W version - Seeed Studio this. If it is essential i can buy a Pi but i think it is not necessary, there must be something what is good enough for me. And lorawan is something what i do not need, i’m looking for an offgrid lora gateway.
Actually i only need an mqtt transformer to lora protocol… with a detachable antenna and POE. I think it is not a hard thing but i can not find…
I’ve check wmaker’s mailbox project but when i search for his used module i find only chips and i can not be sure this chip mounted on an other platform is good for me.
Do you have any, or at least one idea?
Just to make sure i’ve made my homework before come here to advice:
- WisGate Edge Lite 2 RAK7268V2/RAK7268CV2 LoRaWAN Gateway too expensive
- Theengs Bridge - ESP32 BLE MQTT gateway Wifi, Ethernet, external anten cheaper but right now i have no reason to change my mqtt server, of course if it is essential i can do it but do i really need to dig deep in my HA setup? I do not know, this is why i ask advice here
- I’ve fount this project too Connecting long range sensors using LoRa and MQTT but it use wifi. Again, i can change my plans or setup. So if it is essential i can do it too withoute POE but i have poor wifi on my roof and if the gateway will placed inside the house i can forget the great distance of lora
- CapiBridge ESP-NOW / LoRa Gateway This is the same, a wifi solution
