Tried running HAOS (before it was venv).
All of a sudden (tried just updating) the frontend is of no avail, ssh is gone. I just see a dead install. Ok fine. Plugged the SD into a linux machine and … 8 partitions. Where are the logs and configs? Where are the docs for all of this?
Venv is the first rendition of HA so I’m not sure what you mean here.

I think he meant he was using a venv before trying HassOS.
So I’m gonna assume you’re using a very old install method based on your post history. There’s a good chance that upgrading may not work if you were on resinOS.

The whole point is that venv was straight forward, secure and easy.
You could always connect remotely via sshand fix things that went wrong. With HaOS you get chaOS.
The HaOS installation all of a sudden stopped responding.
And the problem was just the Data partition (if i read the docs correctly) marked as dirty.
Wonder if FSCKFIX=yes can be put into bootargs.txt. But no docs on that
