What's a 'single platform integration'?

I’m trying to understand the docs for setting the scan interval for a sensor here:

At the top it says ‘These options are being phased out and are only available for single platform integrations.’

Does anyone know what a ‘single platform integration’ is? Thanks.

Any integration that has only one of:

Switch
Sensor
Binary Sensor
etc…

e.g. Like this:

Thanks, that makes sense, I think.

I’ve actually found that I can set ‘scan_interval’ on a multi platform integration and it works, so I guess the docs may be wrong here, but they have yet to be phased out!
